My Father turned 80 this year and I am taking him to Air Venture in Oshkosh to celebrate. EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is an annual gathering of aviation enthusiasts held each summer at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh. 500,00 people and 10,000 aircraft attend.

As you know from previous blogs I never go anywhere in a straight line, I rarely go a day without a piece of pie, and without TJ to keep things straight anything is about to happen.

I also will not have my proofreader, editor along so you may see a mistake or two.

We decided that we should camp on the airport grounds in an effort to avoid the daily lineups of traffic coming in and out so we will need to pack our tent, air mattress & pump, sleeping bags, pillows, ground sheets etc. in the trailer so we are going to have to use our stuff sacks efficiently. Along with our camping gear we will be taking riding gear, rain gear, emergency tool kit, windscreen cleaning supplies, clothes, extra shoes, IPad, cameras, cords and on and on.

Well I started to see how much room we would have by loading the tent, mattress & pump, ground sheets and sleeping bag, oh wait I need Dad’s bag I’m going to have to wait for his bag and pillow to see how much room there will be.

I’ll include pictures tomorrow of everything laid out on the garage floor before loading and then a series during, you will be amazed how much fits in.
