Well the pillows sucked and someone getting up to go to the washroom woke me and there I was o4:45 awake and needing to talk to God.

07:00 my Father has a shower and we get ready to head down the mainland coast towards Sheet Harbour. OMG its cold.

We can’t have anything to drink or eat as the motel restaurant doesn’t open till 09:15, welcome to Nova Scotia.

The windscreen is all covered in dew and it keeps fogging up. Its showing 46F on the gauge. I’m not sure if I have enough clothes on but Dad has four layers on top two on the bottom.

Nope I’m cold, need to stop and add another jacket. This place sucks.

The road is getting so bad that we will have to go back to the highway and travel to the coast to see anything. It is one of the worst roads I have ever been on, I can’t find a good spot anywhere.

We cut back up 316 to Antigonish and then go down from Truro towards Halifax.

I want to see Lunenburg  and Peggy’s Cove and so we cut back to the coast to see them and after Peggy’s Cove the roads are better but we headed back to the highway to make time to Yarmouth.

Yarmouth to Digby wasn’t bad along the coast until we ran into some fog which slowed us a bit.

We didn’t know it but the Wharf Rat Rally was on in Digby so rooms were at a premium and we weren’t going to get any sleep there so we went up to Bridgetown. Now this is a hole. No food service in town after 08:00pm all locals go home to bed. We had to eat at the Tim Horton’s.

We were not impressed. We missed the cut off for food by 5 minutes and they were not going to make us anything. Nice town.
